Mission Statement

Naugatuck Sports and Support Group is an association of all Naugatuck youth and adult sports organizations and those which support them, organized under the auspices of the Naugatuck Park Department.  Our goals are to communicate in an open and respectful manner, address common problems facing recreation in the Borough, and work together to enhance the experience of all whose lives are enriched by sports in our community.

We believe:

• Our voice is stronger collectively than as individual organizations;
• All sports and support organizations are important;
• No person or league should be denied available space;
• No Naugatuck citizen should be denied access to participation for financial reasons;
• Leagues should not reduce activity because of lack of space;
• We can disagree and still maintain dialogue;
• Long-term planning is critical to success;
• Naugatuck deserves quality fields;
• All volunteers involved in youth sports should be properly trained;
• It is all about a better Naugatuck.
